Ballroom Rules and Regulations
Capacity: Alessandro’s 3000-square-foot ballroom can accommodate up to 120 people seated for a reception.
Deposit: Non-refundable rental deposit of 30% required. Remainder of the room rental fee is due thirty (30) days prior to your event date and all funds become non-refundable at that time. Refundable security deposit of $250 is also due 30 days before the event.
Catering: Alessandro's offers excellent, competitively priced foods and beverages for every budget. No outside catering company may be used. Both sit down service and buffet options are available. A nonrefundable deposit approximating 50% of the estimated catering costs must be made 60 days prior to the event, and the balance paid with a credit card at the conclusion of the event. A gratuity of 18% will be added to the total cost of all food and beverages.
Insurance: You must obtain and provide documentation of a special event "rider" or "endorsement" for bodily injury and property damage in the amount of $500,000 listing Alessandro’s as an additional insured. Alessandro’s will provide liquor liability insurance for the event.
Hours: Monday thru Saturday.
For the Ballroom - the event must be staged and completed between the hours of 4 p.m. and 10:30p.m. with the Ballroom vacated by 11:00p.m.
For the Collector's Gallery - the event must be staged and completed between the hours of 4p.m. and 9:30p.m. with the Gallery vacated by 10:00p.m.
Additional time will be billed at $75 per hour.
Any exception must be approved by the Restaurant Manager.
Delivery: All rental deliveries, vendor setup and tear down, decorating, etc., must be coordinated with the Alessandro’s Hospitality Staff.
Decorating: Client may decorate the room with these exceptions: No nails anywhere. No aerosol type spray, paint or tape on windows. No open flame candles. All candles must be enclosed. Please do not use glitter, rice, birdseed or confetti in or around the restaurant.
Security: Client may be required to provide extra security at client's expense if such security is deemed necessary by Alessandro’s management.
Noise Control. The Renter understands and agrees to take full responsibility for noise control. Current City of Salem guidelines limit noise to 85 decibels (“dba”) evenings, and 55 dba after 9 p.m. General rule of thumb: If you can hear music or announcements on the street outside of the building, or it is disturbing diners in the restaurant downstairs it is too loud.
Alcohol. All alcohol must be consumed in the ballroom only by adults (over 21 years of age) who are not visibly intoxicated. Violators will be asked to surrender alcohol to our staff or leave the Premises immediately.
Other. Building Security has the right, and will, at its sole discretion, close down your event if we have problems with unruly behavior, drunkenness, unsupervised children, trashing of or other damage to the building, and noise violations.
Clean-up. Your room fee includes moderate cleaning. Please discourage the use of chewing gum by your guests. Remove all rented equipment, and decorations, from the ballroom after your event, in particular by 11:00 p.m.. If we have to do a more than normal cleanup, it will be charged to you and may result in a reduction in your security deposit.
