Florida Los Angeles Impressionist Hollywood Tabloids
Paul Guy Gantner

Leah Devora dramatizes Hollywood and it's legendary stars in a way that has art patrons buzzing from coast to coast. By technologically combining archival photos, headlines from yesteryear, and her own artistic gifts, Leah's original "mixed media" oil collages may someday earn her a star of her own on the film capital's walk of fame. The former advertising art director, who was born in the South and lived in New York, Chicago and San Francisco before migrating to Hollywood, has critics comparing her work to 1960s icons Robert Rauschenberg and Andy Warhol.

We brought Ms. Devora and her works to Salem to help celebrate the city's third annual Film Festival. Most of the paintings on display are originals created especially for Alessandro's and are being exhibited for the first time.
